The heroes and crew had a few moments to talk. As they watched the cultist island fade into the distance as a storm began to overtake the ship. Suddenly with a chilling creepy whale-song a massive sea creature struck the back of the ship and began to tear it to pieces. The enormous tentacled beast smashed the ship several times, mostly missing the creatures aboard but dealing some pretty serious damage to the boat. Captain Xershain was the only one seriously wounded, because he was steering the boat and protecting the ship’s wheel with his body. After cutting off, or seriously wounding several tentacles the beast finally shoved away from the boat and swam off into the dark waters beyond.
The heroes and most of the crew chose to leave the Ship via longboat before coming ashore. They landed at the western end of the public wharf and then disappeared into the permanent open aired market. They believe they saw a few eyes fixed on them but feel pretty comfortable about how well they mixed into the crowd… with the exception of “Tubs”. It is difficult for a massive man like him to “disappear” in a crowd.
Ayla gathered information from Leroy Le’Salt. He said that there was a “serious collector” at the refinery across the Great Stone Bridge in town. The collector’s name is “Senior Smelter Silver Spruggle”. He owns an ENORMOUS refinery that processes most of the ore coming and going through Schooner Bay. After visiting the refinery Alya is not successful in meeting with “Silver” but she does get an appointment for the very next morning. Which she shared with Agnes and Loris.
Keljor and Loris both inquire about magical weapons but are unable to find anything suitable in the open air market of Schooner Bay and are finally directed to the courtyard in the gated community in front of both the Mayor’s house and the “Silver Sea-serpent”.
Finally the whole group meets up at Braylor’s boathouse and buy’s a meal and board for the night.
Each wonders what the next day holds in store…
