As the sun begins to cast a green ambiance of light filtered through the tall greenery y’all around our heroes, they awoke and began discussing their plan of how they would spend their “boons” and soul-coins with Doomokos when he arrived.
Once a plan had been made the group asked Prescott to summon Doomokos. Prescott did and after several minutes a pair of clawed fingers tore a rift from this world to another in the air, this purple flaming figure moved away from the tear and larger green hands ripped the hole large enough for Doomokos to force himself through.
With Agnes leading the negotiations the group spent their first boon on KNOWLEDGE to ask Doomokos everything he knew about “Demonic Totems and how they might be connected to UnUnDrathog” – Doomokos told your group that Demonic Totems are not a thing that Devils can make but they are occasionally captured in combat with the Demons of the Abyss. The totem would summon a fiery beast filled with rage and capable of sheer destruction rivaling a bomb. In all of the Nine Hells there might be 5-8 of them. He might… possibly… be able to get one but it would be expensive. As for how they are connected to UnUnDrathog… Doomokos couldn’t think of a direct connection but he thought that the bomb might not be terribly effective if used on UnUnDrathog directly but it is still an item capable of extreme destruction.
The second boon that the group chose was POWER. Loris gave up a small bit of her physical strength in order to gain a small imperceptible amount of “Luck”.
The final boon that you selected was A BADASS SWORD! Doomokos summoned a massive sword of dark metal with reddish hues in it, this sword could engulf attackers in flame, boost it’s owner’s strength, grant them increased life in a fight and also literally strike fear into the hearts of those unfortunate enough to feel it’s bite! It is clearly a powerful Devilish weapon which Tubbs accepted.
Agnes offered to pay two Soul-coins to “rent” Prescott from Doomokos for the length of someone’s natural life. Doomokos agreed and bound Prescott’s contract to Loris. Agnes read the contract associated with this deal as well as she could but it’s possible that she might have missed something…
Agnes then asked for the power to summon a home in a pocket dimension. She described a powerful spell and Doomokos chuckled saying that such a spell would cost no less than 4 souls. He seemed a bit surprised when Agnes produced the coins immediately. Doomokos took the money and created a small black crystal that he asked Agnes to swallow to gain the spell.
Finally Loris asked for more information on “The Scarecrow” Doomokos demanded the final two coins in exchange. Doomokos explained that the Scarecrow has never been seen and could be UnUnDrathog or could be working with him. The Scarecrow operates out of Kingsport and is accepted to be pretty powerful.
Once your exchange with Doomokos was over Prescott gave Kerzha two new “Magic cards”, Azmodes the God of Tyranny and King Ranger Trosk. Which prompted Keljor and Kerzha to pull out all of the cards that they had accumulated and they revealed a familiar name… “Craven WhiteClaw”. Loris’ mother was placed in her dungeon by Craven WhiteClaw. The magic cards say that both Julianna Brightwood and Craven WhiteClaw are “Agents of peace but who do they work for?” Clearly they work closely together… As the pieces of the puzzle swirl in your minds. The group returns to Akmin.
Once in Akmin the party finds Grog and asks about passage back downriver to Sic Met, Grog offers to pay them 250GP each or 400GP worth of gems to take a small boat and two kegs of cargo back to Sic Met. He also asks if your group could carry “Annabell” back to Sic Met as well. Your group accepted the offer and spent the evening eating BBQ and relaxing at his place.
The next morning the group headed back downriver with two ships and some valuable cargo. The following day the bugs are relentless but your party is able to ward them off. The next day the wind is high and the monkeys in the trees pelt the boat with fruit and other things…
Shortly after this misadventure someone spots a small group moving in the trees keeping up with your boat. Loris sends Tarro to investigate and a fight immediately breaks out. The party quickly subdues 5 Yuan-Ti.
Your group follows the river to Timna but doesn’t stop for the evening. With Timna behind them and slow darkness setting in the group has maybe 2 more days of travel ahead before reaching Sic Met.
Fern wakes up in the early evening to the sound of an elderly man’s voice in her mind.
“Good evening, I am Iccabod. I speak for Ambassador Ambrose Pin. He is aware of Hilo’s demise. I will message a few times. Respond if you wish. Clearly both Hilo and Ambrose have underestimated your group’s abilities. Ambrose offers a Royal Gift as an apology. It is yours to claim. Ambrose has a job to offer you, one that would Test your skills, Pay Very well, and possibly shape the future of nations… You may collect this gift and listen to his offer either at… the Silver SeaSerpent or the library of the Qanna in Schooner Bay at a time you choose… no more than a month from now. Please respond quickly if you wish to use my spell. Your servant, Iccabod”
Fern responded by saying “message received”. And the party began discussing the offer and begins weighing their options.
